How Does It Work?
In summary, the iWire System converts your in-building electrical system into a high-speed platform for data, video and voice. By connecting the Gateway to the Internet router for your building, and then linking to the Couplers that interface with the safety switches and circuit breaker panels, you've transformed every electric outlet in your building into a place the end user can access high-speed Internet and data services.

Gateway - the "Brain" of the iWire System, the Gateway converts IP connections to a PLC signal and distributes PLC to the Coupler. Through a web or CLI interface, the Gateway allows management and configuration of the other components and supports up to 1,023 users. |

Coupler takes the PLC signal from the Gateway or eXtender and injects that signal into the in-building electrical wiring. Installation of the Coupler requires licensed electrician to meet National Electric Code (NEC) and local electric code standards. |

eXtender™ provides additional reach and scalability for networks that cannot be properly covered by a single Gateway or in multi-building environments. The eXtender can be used with wireless radio or wireline networks. |
